Sažetak: Over the past three decades, extensive research has been conducted on Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), a production technology with roots dating back almost a century to its initial patent. WAAM has garnered increasing attention due to its ability to fabricate large near-net-shape metal products. Leveraging existing welding equipment for both the heat source and material feedstock provides a signi􀀀icant advantage in terms of lower initial investment costs. Initially prominent in the aerospace sector with a focus on lightweight metal alloys, WAAM has recently expanded its application scope to include stainless steels, functionally graded materials, and combinations of diverse alloys. This study aims to explore the latest advancements and potential pathways in WAAM technology, offering valuable insights and recommendations for future research directions.
